The Valley Seniors Organization of Duncan is a very active activity centre for people 55 years of age and up. Our yearly membership fee is $25.00 and all activities with the exception of the evening dances are included in that fee.
Breakfast consists of toast, jam and coffee or tea. Lunch has a choice of soup of the day and a varieties of sandwiches. Coffee, tea, orange juice, apple juice and iced tea are all available.
There is a monthly Newsletter which contains much of the interesting things which happened during the past month, birthdays and anniversaries of members, a schedule of upcoming bus trips and a calendar of events for the upcoming month.
We have a dance the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month, our dances are $12.00 per person, starting at 7:00pm – 10:00pm. In July, August and December we have only one dance per month.
We also have special events through out the year, all these events have tickets that are sold ahead of time and set at a limited number.
HOURS
We are open Monday thru Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00PM.
Saturday from 9:00AM to 1PM.
We are closed all Sundays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday, July 1st and November 11th.
The Centre is operated by Volunteers which means that no staff is paid for their help.
